The major U.S. index futures indicated a significantly lower opening on Thursday, suggesting that stocks are poised to relinquish some of the gains accrued in recent sessions. After experiencing volatility in the early part of the session, equities generally trended upward throughout the trading day on Wednesday. The major averages all experienced upward movement, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq demonstrating a significant increase.
